Climate Justice Organizer (for 350 Wisconsin)

This position will work collaboratively with 350 Wisconsin’s volunteer teams, staff and Board of Directors to achieve the Climate Justice goals of 350 Wisconsin.  We recognize that those who are least responsible for climate change are bearing the worst consequences of it, and we strive to reduce the climate injustices affecting the most vulnerable communities around the world. We are working to include more diverse perspectives, people and communities in our work, to develop broader solutions to climate change and address climate change impacts on vulnerable communities.

  • The organizer will collaborate with 350 Wisconsin Teams on a range of climate change campaigns to strengthen justice, equity and inclusion considerations. In some cases actions may be organized that would have a primary focus on climate justice.
  • The organizer will support community outreach and partnerships with 350 Wisconsin’s Climate Justice Team to further develop relationships and alliances with BIPOC organizations and individuals.
  • Working with the Climate Justice Team leads, the Board and staff, the organizer will create and deliver educational opportunities on racism, climate justice, equity issues, and anti-racism.

Experience with  or knowledge of justice and equity issues; grassroots organizing; working with volunteers; and Wisconsin communities and cultures is preferred.

Communications and Development Fellow (for 350 Wisconsin)

This position will work with 350 Wisconsin’s staff and volunteer leadership to coordinate and implement messaging and fundraising programs.

  • The fellow will support our communication strategy to educate and activate climate-concerned individuals and will engage with our campaign teams to support their communication and messaging needs.
  • The fellow will support our fundraising team and development director with event planning and research support, donor research and stewardship, and database management.

Experience with strategic communications, media outreach, fundraising, grant research, and/or issue advocacy is preferred. Candidates must also exhibit a passion for building the power of people in combating climate change and a strong commitment to DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice).

Political Fellow (for 350 Wisconsin Action)

This position will assist in implementing our electoral work and building 350 Wisconsin Action. The Political fellow will help train volunteers and staff, and will oversee aspects of our electoral work.

The person in this position should have  a strong commitment to building the power of people to make a difference in combating climate change. Political organizing experience or significant volunteer work on political campaigns is a plus. The person should have the ability to manage volunteers and communicate easily and clearly with others. The candidate should also be comfortable using online databases.

We want someone excited about doing this work and about working with us to advance climate justice, climate policies, and climate champions in government.
